Next year – 2018 – marks 100 years since General Motors’s top-selling Silverado and Colorado pick-ups first hit the road. To celebrate the momentous anniversary, General Motors is introducing special Centennial Edition Silverados and Colorados for 2018.
Vickar Community Chevrolet sales manager Devon Cuscito reports that the limited edition models will feature distinct looks that include Centennial Blue metallic exterior, heritage bowtie emblems and Centennial door badges, spray-in bedliner with heritage bowties, Centennial Edition badging on floor liners and chrome tow hooks, door handles, mirror caps and belt line
The Centennial Edition Silverado will have 22-inch premium silver-painted wheels with chrome inserts. The Colorado will have 18-inch wheels with monochromatic bowties.
“They are very nice looking trucks,” Cuscito says. “Because only a limited number have been produced, they are tough to get. We have some on order. We are anticipating getting five Centennial Edition Silverados and five Colorados.
He reports that the two special edition models are expected to land at Vickar Community Chevrolet (at 964 Regent Avenue West) in January.
Cuscito adds that the 2018 Silverados began arriving at Vickar Community Chevrolet around the end of September. He reports that for the first time, the Custom Package, previously available only with double cab model, is now also available with the crew cab model.
““For a truck, the Crew cab is a nice family vehicle,” he says. “We are anticipating that the midlevel model is going to be very popular.”
“We can also offer great lease packages on the Silverado,” he adds. “You can now get a five-year lease (plus tax).”
