The newly redesigned 2020 Silverado 2500 Duramax Turbo-Diesel is here at Vickar Chevrolet! It is the first-ever inline-six turbo-diesel offered in Chevrolet’s full-size light-duty trucks! Engineers started from the ground up and created an all-new engine that utilizes the efficiency and abilities of the inline six-cylinder design AND adds advanced combustion and emission tech for optimized performance and efficiency.

Available on LT, RST, LTZ and High Country Models, the 2.0L Duramax fills a space among the range of six propulsion choices. So no matter what your needs are there is a Silverado for you. Putting out 277 horsepower and a hefty 460 pounds per foot of torque at the same time this 2020 Diesel still creates an enjoyable ride.

The cylinder block is made of a cast aluminum alloy that gives the strength required to support the high combustion pressures that occur within a diesel engine while offering about 25 percent saving in mass over a cast-iron engine block.

The 2020 Silverado features some great technologies as well:

Low-pressure EGR – Diverts some of the engine-out exhaust gas and mixed it back into the fresh intake air stream which is drawn into the cylinder head for combustion lowering combustion temperatures and rates.

Oil Jets – Provide an extra layer of cooling friction-reducing oil. Reducing piston temperature and allow the engine to produce more power and durability then engines without.

A Variable Intake Manifold – offers dual air intake pathways for each cylinder optimizing airflow into the engine by shorten.
