NEW IZEV ELECTRIC VEHICLE INCENTIVE PROGRAM CONFIRMED FOR MAY 1
Posted on April 30, 2019
The government of Canada announced in April a new incentive program designed to stimulate EV sales in Canada. Available starting on May 1st, the program will provide a $5,000 incentive on the purchase of a new EV with a battery larger than 15 kWh while hybrid models with a battery capacity of less than 15 kWh will come with a $2,500 purchase.
At Chevrolet, that means that both the Chevrolet Bolt and Chevrolet Volt are eligible for a $5,000 rebate from the government of Canada if you purchase or lease for 48 months. Other rebates include a $1,250 on a 12-month lease, $2,500 on a 24-month lease, and $3,750 on a 36-month lease. These rebates are only available on new vehicles costing less than $45,000 which both the Bolt and Volt respect.
The Chevrolet Bolt is often considered Canada’s premier electric vehicle and the first affordable long-range EV. Offering 383 kilometers of range, it packs the range you need to truly enjoy all of the benefits of an EV day in and day out.
