The 2019 Chevrolet Blazer has been a big hit since it arrived on the market this year. A new five-passenger mid-size SUV, it takes on a name well known to SUV enthusiasts and retains the distinctive personality of the first generation of Blazers while adjusting to the needs of today's consumer.
With the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer, we get more than 1,800 liters of cargo space in total, enough space for all our family needs or active lifestyle, but we also get a sporty, dynamic and sharp SUV that doesn’t neglect comfort. In a recent Car Guide review, the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer finished first in its class ahead of models like the 2019 Ford Edge in terms of overall enjoyment and appreciation.
The 2019 Chevrolet Blazer is powered by a standard four-cylinder engine, but the majority of consumers will turn to the 3.6-liter V6 engine developing 305 horsepower, more than any other five-passenger mid-size SUV and much more than the 250-horsepower engine available in the 2019 Ford Edge. The Blazer is able to reach 100 km/h in 7.0 seconds and go from 80 km/h to 120 km/h in just 5.3 seconds. This is far ahead of the Ford Edge which requires 7.3 seconds to go to 100 km/h and 6.3 seconds to go from 80 km/ h to 120 km/h. The 2019 Chevrolet Blazer added power also gives it the ability to tow up to 2,041 kg compared to 1,588 kg for the 2019 Ford Edge.
That said, the numbers say one thing, but it's on the road that we notice the real difference between the Ford Edge and the Chevrolet Blazer. The Blazer is much more connected to the road and feels much smaller than it actually is. In simple terms, it's a lot more fun to drive than the Ford Edge and offers exclusive technologies like OnStar and built-in Wi-Fi.
